September 8, 1988
Mary Doucette forms Elder Network with Joyce Stromberg as first Program Coordinator.
July 1989
10 elders were trained as Peer Support Counselors-the first program.
April-May 1991
Articles of incorporation signed on May 28th, 1991. 501(c)3 Non-Profit status was obtained and filed with the MN Secretary of State on April 3rd, 1991.
January 1993
Elder Network sets up offices at Assisi Heights.
January 2002
Caregiver Respite program added.
January 2007
Two Year Faith in Action Grant added Friendly Visitor, Chore/Transportation/Adopt a Grandparent.
January 2008
Caregiver Respite Companion program created.
January 2008-2009
Tough days with the Great Recession.
January 2010
Elder Network adds sliding scale fee-for-service to ensure sustainability in the wake of the Great Recession.
April 20, 2013
Elder Network celebrates 25th Anniversary with a celebration at the Spring Fever Gala-Come Grow with Us!

July / November 2014
Senior Advocate program is added and two part-time staff are hired. Remodeling done to increase space for growing staff.

January 2019
Elder Network adds new office space to add 3 new offices, storage and small, consultation space.

January 2020
Non-Medical Transportation and virtual support groups added.
COVID-19 changes how we conduct business, but we persisted!

January 2021-2023
Technology Assistance Program and PEARLS depression coaching programs added.
